Ifi: the design made in Italy celebrated by the Farnesina

With the First Italian Design Day in the World, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation wanted to celebrate Design made in Italy: a distinctive asset, an economic driver, and a privileged showcase of Italy in the world.

A world premiere inaugurated at the Palazzo della Farnesina with an exhibition of over 30 objects from the history of Italian design, winners of the Compasso d'Oro ADI Award, which will remain on display for at least 12 months in the rooms dedicated to Italian design.

Among the selected design pieces is the gelato display case Bellevue with Panorama® technology (Design Marc Sadler + IFI R&D Dept.).

Marc Sadler, co-creator of Bellevue and multi-award-winning designer, commented on this important initiative with these words: “I am happy and honored to represent a piece of Italian Design, and the fact that I am not Italian proves how design is a universal and transversal language, capable of connecting entrepreneurial realities and different or distant markets.”

A day rich in significance both for the world of design and for the world of entrepreneurship, which the President of IFI Gianfranco Tonti expresses as follows: “This day is a source of pride for all our 350 collaborators whom I consider an orchestra, an orchestra capable of creating such appreciated projects. At the same time, it is an incentive to continue doing good design in the future.”
